ART & EDUCATION RESIDENCIES PROGRAM - ESCUELA PERTURBABLE - MUSEO NACIONAL CENTRO DE ARTE REINA SOFÍA
January 2019

It took me a lot to finish the degree in Literature (UBA). But the day I received the degree of linguist was a relief. Currently, I am studying the Master in Contemporary Latin American Aesthetics (UNDAV, University of Avellaneda and CIA) where, from a postcolonial and sudaka perspective, we explore new epistemologies: street, festive and revelers, that help us unlearn the Eurocentric categories inherited from the academy.

Since the 90's I am part of START Foundation, the "mothership" of multiple platforms in the field of visual arts and technoculture: ramona: magazine and art portal; bola de nieve : more than a thousand interconnected Argentine's artists; Proyecto Venus : experimental utopian micro-society with its own currency; CIA : artist training space.

There are artists and there are those who help propel artists, often from behind the scenes. As an enthusiastic producer, I like to prepare the field (generate the conditions) for the artists to do and undo. We coined the expression "technologies of friendship" to describe our doing together with others creating networks, fostering fertile encounters between people and knowledge. We are specialists in turning ridiculous ideas into realizable nonsense and ... realized.

I am currently the creative director of CIA, Canal de Interferencias Artísticas, formerly Centro de Investigaciones Artísticas, directed by the Argentinian artist Roberto Jacoby. My mission in CIA is to invent possibles fictions: imagine crosses between artists of different generations, to be a bridge between artists and institutions; shortcut between artists and collectors.
