ARTISTIC RESEARCH RESIDENCES
November 2019

Curator, editor, and researcher with experience in exhibitions, mediation, writing of critical texts and development of publications and public programs for institutions in Brazil and elsewhere. Architect and urban planner, formed at the University of São Paulo and the University of Porto, Portugal. She has a Master's degree in Museology from the Department of Archeology of the University College London (UCL) and the University of São Paulo. She also has a postgraduate degree in Photography from the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona.

Since 2013 she directs the cultural space of the General Consulate of Portugal in São Paulo / Instituto Camões, which is consolidated as a place of debate and experimentation, with a program of exhibitions, film cycles, public programs, residences and edition of artist books and catalogs. The main objective is to support and disseminate the Portuguese cultural production of emerging and consolidated artists and thinkers, in a dialogue with the Brazilian context and in an attitude of revision and criticism of the colonial history - past and present - shared between the two countries.

During 2017 worked in the Exhibition Archive Department of the Whitechapel Gallery in London. From 2013 to 2015 she was part of the programming / curating team of Videobrasil, a Brazilian cultural institution specialized in mapping and disseminating the art of the geopolitical south. She had previously worked curating and organizing exhibitions at Vermelho Gallery in São Paulo and, in 2011, she was the assistant curator of the XI Biennial of Cuenca, in Ecuador.
